Casa Decor
For the 56th edition of Casa Decor in Madrid, Meritxell Ribé and Josep Puigdomènech of The Room Studio presented the project ‘Modern Times’. The proposal is conceived as a luxury workspace within a home due to the adaptation to teleworking and the change that many homes are undergoing as a result of this reality. The use of natural materials was chosen, especially wood, and the aim of the architects was to create organic shapes that convey the idea of being enveloped and enclosed within the space. For the rest of the house, they opted for a warm, luxurious design with a retro feel. For the bedroom floor, they chose the FÔRET collection of Oscar Ono with the naturel finish. As it plays with the light, it gives the overall decor that extra exclusive touch. Architect bureau The Room Studio won the Best Project award for their design.
