Tods Flagship

Tod’s is a boutique store selling luxury Italian shoes and footwear. TOD’S Studio, measuring nearly 1000 square meters, opened on Via Montenapoleone in  Milan. It is a third-generation boutique with a new concept. Interior architect Gwenael Nicolas of Curiosity Japan got to design their new venue. The studio is a laboratory of ideas and content that showcases various themed rooms, pop-up areas and animations. The studio is designed as a gallery that will continue to evolve. The collections are displayed on the walls as a selection of crafted pieces carefully presented in strong iconic frames like displays that can be “curated” and moved depending on the collection`s compilation and themes. At the base of this design lies Oscar Ono’s FÔRET collection. Gwenael chose the naturel finish that goes very well with the high pillars supporting the structure. The marquetry looks both playful and imposing in the architect’s grand design.
